Error 0000002b shown in console when deploying endpoint software
Symptom
In the console the following error is shown:
Enterprise Console 4.7.0
Enterprise Console 4.7.1
Sophos Enterprise Manager 4.7.0
Enterprise Console 4.5.0
Enterprise Console 4.5.1
Sophos Control Center 4.0.1
Sophos Control Center 4.1
If the issue continues setup a new user account and deploy using that. For more information on preparing computers for remote installation of endpoint software please see: Error 0000002e or 80070035 displayed in the console when protecting computers
In the console the following error is shown:
0000002b The installation credentials you entered in the "Protect computers wizard" are either incorrect or do not give administrator access to the computer over the network.

What to do
Ensure the following are done:- In the 'Protect computers wizard' you enter:
domain\administrator- if using Active Directory.administrator- if in a workgroup environment.
- If the "administrator" account cannot be used:
- The account used is in the domain admins group - if using Active Directory.
- The account used is in the local administrators group on both the server and client computers - if in a workgroup environment.
