Deployment fails with an 'invalid credentials' message in a trusted domain

With Enterprise Console, deployment can fail with an 'invalid credentials' error message in a trusted domain, even when the domain administrators have been added to the local administrators group. This happens even where a user has been created in both domains with the same username and password.

What to do

  • Use Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) to create a Group Policy Object (GPO) under 'Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment', selecting 'Allow log on locally'.
  • Select the users from the other domain that you want to have access to the server (including local administrators).

Note: This can present a considerable security risk.
