This issue is caused when both of the following conditions apply:
- the user has manually stopped savd
- savscan, the on-demand scanner, is run from the command line and a virus is found.
Note: If savd is stopped, the on-access scanner does not run.
What to do
To resolve the issue, delete the file <install_directory>/log/savd.log.
Reinstalling Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux would also work.
