Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux: uninstalling fails if cron absent

With Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux version 5.x or below, uninstalling will fail if cron is absent.

On an installation of Linux without cron, an attempt to remove Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux will fail as the uninstall program will be unable to remove the crontab.

What to do

  1. Install cron.
  2. Remove Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux.
  3. Remove cron, if required.
