Sophos PureMessage Small Business Edition: your company disclaimers are added to your own incoming emails
Incoming email carries the disclaimer that was configured for, and attached to, your outgoing email. This issue can occur when installing or upgrading Sophos PureMessage Small Business Edition, version 2.5 and above, on a Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 Small Business Server.
What to do
- In the PureMessage console tree, select 'Disclaimer', to open the Disclaimer pane.
In the 'Do not add disclaimer when sending mail to these domains:' field you will see only your own local domain address (mydomain.local) listed. - Ensure that both the local and the domain entries are displayed in the field in the following order:
- mydomain.com
- mydomain.local
If the domains are placed in any other order, or on their own, disclaimers will be attached to incoming email.
