Sophos Anti Virus for Linux: X window pop-ups may not work correctly when using Konqueror

When using Konqueror with Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux, pop-up windows notifying you of events may not be displayed.

This happens because certain KDE applications (including Konqueror) sometimes delete the environment for some threads. The pop-up requires the environment in order to locate the appropriate X display.
