Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+: features in version 5.1.3

Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+, version 5.1.3, has been released on the Sophos databank and is being automatically distributed to existing customers via EM Library.

Enhancements in Sophos Anti-Virus version 5.1.3

• Minor updates no longer utilise MSI, so enhancing performance.
• An option for enhanced scanning of alternate data streams is now available.
• The Sophos Anti-Virus version 5.0 installer no longer causes NTLM traffic with the primary domain controller.
• Infected items found in mounted volumes without drive letters, are now added to quarantine.
• Occasional runtime errors when shutting down are no longer generated.
• The frequency of notification of certain error reports to Enterprise Console has been reduced.
• JPG, JPEG and WMF are now in the default extensions list.

Further enhancements were included in version 5.1.2.
