What to do
Installation at the command line
- Copy the 'Sophos
Anti-Virus .pkg' installer file to the desktop, or other preferred location. - Change directory to where the installer is. The following example uses the desktop of the logged on user.
- Type the following commands:
mac# cd /Users/<username>/Desktop/
mac# installer -pkg'SophosAnti-Virus .mpkg' -target /
Removal at the command line
The commands used may differ; depending on the version of Sophos
- Change to the Sophos
Anti-Virus directory and typemac# cd /Library/Application\ Support/Sophos\ Anti-VirusThis will list the contents of the directory.
mac# ls -al - If the file 'SAV Uninstaller.app' is in the list then:
- Log in as root by typing:
mac# su -
- Then type
mac# removesav
- Log in as root by typing:
- If the file 'Remove Sophos
Anti-Virus .pkg' is in the list, type:mac# installer -pkg 'Remove SophosAnti-Virus .pkg' -target /
