Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac OS X: the Sophos Update Manager
The Sophos Update Manager, part of Sophos
You should always use the Sophos Update Manager for these tasks, as the Sophos auto-updating process cannot put your changes into effect otherwise.
- For details, see section 1.2 "Setting up automatic updating and email virus alerts" of the Sophos
Anti-Virus for Mac OS X 10.2+ startup guide. - Once you have set up a configuration, any computer installed from the CID by executing the Sophos
Anti-Virus .mkpg file will use these options. - Sophos Update Manager can subsequently be used to manually update the Sophos
Anti-Virus .mpkg file in the Mac CID on your server. To do this, mount the Mac CID on the server and run the Sophos Update Manager from the CID.
