Sophos Anti-Virus: preserving your existing SAVAdmin groups, CIDs and settings when upgrading
When upgrading to the current versions of Sophos
SAVAdmin information
You can export SAVAdmin computer names and groups to Enterprise Console. However, you cannot keep any other information from SAVAdmin.
Existing Central Installation Directories (CIDs)
During the upgrade, you can continue to use your existing CIDs for obsolete versions of Sophos
- You must not simply put your new versions of Sophos
Anti-Virus in the CIDs already used for your existing versions. - The new CIDs will be created in the same share as your old CIDs. The two types of CID can coexist during the upgrade.
Previous Sophos Anti-Virus configuration
Your previous configuration will be lost. When you install your new versions of Sophos
Make a note of what your existing configuration does, and recreate those features with anti-virus and updating policies in Enterprise Console.
Phasing in the upgrade
Using Enterprise Console, you can install a new version of Sophos
