Protecting remote computers with Sophos Auto-Update

Computers that are never on the network and that are not easy to access, e.g. laptops used away from the office, can install and update Sophos Anti-Virus via the internet.

Each of these computers must be configured to download Sophos Anti-Virus, either from a Sophos website, or from a location on your company website.

Provide users who are not on your network with the following:

• The location from which they can download Sophos Anti-Virus.
• A copy of the Sophos Anti-Virus remote user guide.
• The username and password they need. These are either the username and password supplied by Sophos or, if the computers will update from your company website, those supplied by you.
