Sophos credentials: usernames and passwords for Sophos customers

All Sophos customers are provided with a username and password, which are supplied on their licence schedule. Depending on when your licence schedule was issued, you may have one or two sets of credentials printed on the schedule.

The credentials supplied are required:

  • When setting up and configuring your Sophos software.
  • When you initially set up your personal MySophos account, which you must use for accessing password-secured areas of the website.
  • If you need to contact Sophos Technical Support. Please ensure that you have your username and password (as it appears on your licence schedule) available. If you cannot locate your username and password, email customerservice@sophos.com with details of your account.

If you are not a Sophos customer, visit our product pages to download evaluation versions of our software. You will be granted temporary access to the software for evaluation purposes.

NOTE: If you have forgotten your customer credentials, contact customerservice@sophos.com with details of your account. However, we will not be able to give details over the phone, they will be emailed to you.All Sophos customers will have a username and password with which they can download our products.

Enterprise and Small Business Products

If you have one set of product credentials on your licence schedule

  • Use these credentials when you need to enter credentials into Sophos software, for example, when you are prompted to do so by the installation wizard or when you are configuring updates.
  • Use these credentials to set up a personal account using MySophos account. This is the single login account that you use to access all password protected areas of the website. Once you have set up your personal account with your own username and password, you must use your personalised credentials, rather than those supplied on your licence schedule.

If you have two sets of product credentials on your licence schedule

  • Use the EM (Update) credentials when you need to enter credentials into Sophos software, for example, when you are prompted to do so by the installation wizard or when you are configuring updates.
  • Use either the EM (Update) or the Download credentials to set up a personal account using MySophos account. This is the single login account that you use to access all password protected areas of the website. Once you have set up your personal account with your own username and password, you must use your personalised credentials, rather than those supplied on your licence schedule.

  • Set the 'Secondary server' to Sophos, and use the credentials supplied on your licence schedule to obtain anti-spam updates:
    • If you have one set of product credentials on your licence use those.
    • If you have two sets of credentials on your licence, use the ‘Download’ credentials.

For standalone PureMessage servers:

  • Set the 'Primary server' to Sophos, and use the credentials supplied on your licence schedule to obtain anti-spam and anti-virus updates:
    • If you have one set of product credentials on your licence use those.
    • If you have two sets of credentials on your licence, use the ‘Download’ credentials.

To download the latest versions of PureMessage for upgrading:
