Advisory: Release of Endpoint Security v. 10.0.1

An Endpoint Security maintenance release, v. 10.0.1 will shortly be released; currently targeted to commence 25 January 2012.

This will be an automatic update for Endpoint Security and Control customers. It addresses initial issues found in version 10, details of which will be available in the Release Notes at the time of release.

What to do

You do not need to take any action. The update will be automatic, and will take place in the same way as the regular updates, using the same updating mechanism. No reboot is required.

NOTE: An additional maintenance release to v. 10.0.2, will take place commencing February 2012 - this will require a reboot. No reboot request will be visible on the endpoint as this is not a forced reboot, however rebooting is advisable as this will ensure that all the fixes applicable to v. 10.0.2 will be applied to the endpoint.

Additional advisories will be published in the period leading up to the v 10.0.2 release, and the actual dates will be confirmed nearer the time.
