PureMessage for Windows/Exchange - installing with Terminal Services
Problems can be encountered when PureMessage for Windows/Exchange is installed in conjunction with Terminal Services. PureMessage for Windows/Exchange can be installed on all of the supported operating systems, but in some circumstances configuration changes are needed.
What to do
Small Business Server 2003
PureMessage for Windows/Exchange can be installed on SBS 2003. No configuration changes are required.
Small Business Server 2000
PureMessage for Windows/Exchange can be installed with configuration changes:
- Terminal Services must be in Remote Desktop mode when PureMessage for Windows/Exchange is installed.
- Terminal Services can be reconfigured to be an Application Server after PureMessage for Windows/Exchange has been installed.
Windows 2000 Server
PureMessage for Windows/Exchange can be installed with configuration changes:
- Terminal Services must be in Remote Desktop mode when PureMessage for Windows/Exchange is installed.
- Terminal Services can be reconfigured to be an Application Server after PureMessage for Windows/Exchange has been installed.
Windows 2003 Server
PureMessage for Windows/Exchange can be installed on Windows 2003 Server.
- Uninstall Terminal Services before installing PureMessage for Windows/Exchange.
- After installing PureMessage for Windows/Exchange, reinstall Terminal Services.
PureMessage for Windows/Exchange and Terminal Services will then operate together correctly.
Windows 2000 Professional/Windows XP Professional
Neither of these operating systems can be used as a Terminal Services server.
