Sophos Anti-Virus SBE: Can the location of the Central Installation Directory be changed after installation?

It is not possible to change the location of a Central Installation Directory (CID) in Sophos Anti-Virus Small Busness Edition (SBE) after installation.

If you need to specify an alternative location for the CID, reinstallation will be necessary.

What to do

To reinstall Sophos Anti-Virus SBE with the revised details, do as follows.

1. Check to see if you need to uninstall AutoUpdate from the computer running the Sophos Control Center. Select Start|Settings|Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs and choose 'Sophos AutoUpdate' from the list. Click 'Change/Remove'.
2. Uninstall Sophos Anti-Virus SBE using Start|Programs|Sophos|Sophos Control Center|Uninstall Sophos Small Business Edition.
3. Reinstall. When you are asked where you want to install the software, either browse to the new location or type it in the main window.

The location of the CID on your network will always be \\<servername>\Sophos.
