Message box "Die Initialisierung des Verschlüsselungstreibers ist fehlgeschlagen" upon system start

Question

When rebooting the PC after having SafeGuard Removable Media installed a message box comes up : "Die Initialisierung des Verschlüsselungstreibers ist fehlgeschlagen. Der Zugriff auf verschlüsselte Dateien ist nicht möglich."

Answer

In order to access an encrypted file it is necessary that SafeGuard Removable Media loads an filter driver. This filter drive is stored under C:\Windows\System32\drivers by default.
However it might be that some AV software blocks access to this sections of the Windows and therefore prevent the filter driver to be loaded although it could be written during the installation.

In order to solve this issue please exclude C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\lcencm.sys from the AV scan. After a subsequent reboot the issue should then be gone.
