Question

Do self-extracting archives still have a limit of 2 GB?

Answer

Yes, self-extracting archives still have a limit of 2 GB (Uti-files and archives larger than 2 GB can be handled).

If you attempt to create an encrypted self-extracting archive larger than 1.84 GB, an error message appears that the size of the self-extracting archive exceeds the maximum of 2 GB.
If you create a self-extracting archive up to 1.80 GB, no error message appears.
