Sophos Anti-Virus SBE: network installation

There is no need to visit every computer on the network to install Sophos Anti-Virus Small Business Edition (SBE). Provided you have administrative rights to the workstations on the network, Sophos Anti-Virus SBE can be installed across your network from a central place.

What to do

  1. Install Sophos Anti-Virus SBE on your Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional or Windows 2003 server. If you use Mac OS X; at the Download from Sophos dialog box, click 'Advanced', click the Software tab, and select 'Mac OS X'.
  2. Using the Sophos Control Center, install the other Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional, Windows XP Home and Windows 2003 computers on your network
  3. Install any Windows 98, Windows Me and Mac OS X computers manually.

To initiate the automatic installation of new Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional and Windows 2003 computers, use the 'Protect new computers' option in the Sophos Control Center.

Once installed, all computers will be kept up to date automatically.
