Updating this central installation is described in Central installation: automatic updating with virus identity (IDE) files.
You may sometimes need to re-start the third party software services immediately after updating.
How to confirm that the IDE files have been loaded
- The IDE files loaded are listed in the Sophos log (by default C:\Program files\Sophos SWEEP for NT\SWEEP.LOG).
- The number of viruses in the library reported in the third party software log when SAV Interface is loaded should have changed.
