Threat identity (IDE) files for new viruses, Trojans, spyware and other threats can be downloaded from Latest virus identities.

Note: Sophos Anti-Virus version 4.5x and above are updated automatically. If you would like to be informed when new IDEs are available, subscribe to the automatic email notification service.

If you suspect that you have malicious software which isn't detected by Sophos Anti-Virus, then send a sample to technical support. We can then analyse the sample and, where appropriate, create an IDE file.
