MailMonitor for SMTP: installation
There are MailMonitor for SMTP installation programs for both the Windows and the UNIX versions.
What to do
At installation, the following should be specified:
- the interface (i.e. IP address and port number) that MailMonitor for SMTP should listen on
- the address and port number of the SMTP server that MailMonitor will send mail to
- an address for alerts to be sent to and where they appear to come from.
Additionally on UNIX:
- the location of queue, quarantine and temporary directories. (These are set by default in Windows but can be changed in the configuration.)
