Sophos Anti-Virus for OpenVMS: problem loading IDE files

If you encounter problems using virus identity (IDE) files with Sophos Anti-Virus for OpenVMS, ensure that the IDE files are in 'stream' format on the VMS system. This will normally be the case if the files are transferred to the VMS system using Pathworks.

IDE files which are in variable length format on the VMS system cannot be used. This will also be the case if the files are created on the VMS system using a VMS text editor or if they are transferred in text mode.
