Sophos Anti-Virus: automatic updates

Sophos Anti-Virus can be updated automatically on Windows computers with EM Library and Enterprise Console, or you can use use Sophos Small Business Suite.

What to do

• EM Library downloads Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows updates and virus identity (IDE) files automatically from a dedicated website. Updates are usually available there in the last week of the month. To use EM Library, you will need a Sophos-issued username and password. These updates are deployed with Enterprise Console.
• Sophos Small Business Suite provides integrated downloading and deployment of anti-virus and anti-spam protection for small businesses.

Scripts can also be written to instruct certain command line utilities to download Sophos Anti-Virus and IDE files automatically for non-Windows platforms.
