The Best practice page on this website gives links to sources of information on computer viruses, spam, phishing and other threats.

The Sophos Anti-Virus website includes virus analyses which describe particular threats and explain how to remove them.

Anti-virus vendors often name viruses differently. Project VGrep (from Virus Bulletin) can be used to cross-reference these names.
