Sophos Anti-Virus: overview
Sophos Anti-Virus provides cross-platform protection against:
- computer viruses
- potentially unwanted applications (PUA) such as spyware and adware
- host intrusions (HIPS) such as suspicious files, behaviors and buffer overflow attacks
- and unauthorized software being used on your network.
It provides on-access and on-demand scanning for most platforms.
When managed by Enterprise Console or the Sophos Control Center, Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows, Mac and Linux can be configured remotely and updated automatically from a Central Installation Directory on your network.
Standalone or remote installations of Sophos Anti-Virus can download their updates directly from the Sophos website.
