| Sophos has received reports of a warning that is being spread via email about a new mass mailing virus. The warning claims that the virus arrives in an attachment called SCHOOL VIOLENCE.EVALUATION.DOC or SCHOOLVIOLENCE.EVALUATION.DOC. Further investigation has found that the panic started because of a misunderstanding after a zero byte file with this name was apparently accidentally sent to everyone in an organisation. Although the warning appears to have no basis in fact, Sophos reminds users to be wary of any unsolicited attachment as it may contain a virus. |
