W32/Sohana-AO is a worm for the Windows platform.
W32/Sohana-AO spreads via email and by copying itself to network shares and removeable media.
W32/Sohana-AO copies itself to the root folder of removeable drives with the filenames:
SSCVIHOST.exe
New Folder.exe
and drops an auturun.inf file to the root folder of the removeable drive in an attempt to execute SSCVIHOST.exe when the drive is inserted.
W32/Sohana-AO copies itself to all sub-folders of the removeable drive with filenames consisting of the folder name and an extension of .EXE, but not if a file already exists in the folder with such as filename.
Note: the W32/Sohana-AO executable has a folder icon and copies may have the hidden and system attributes set.
When first run W32/Sohana-AO copies itself to:
<Windows>\SSCVIHOST.exe
<System>\blastclnnn.exe
<System>\SSCVIHOST.exe
and creates the following file:
<System>\autorun.ini
The following registry entry is created to run SSCVIHOST.exe on startup:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

<System>\SSCVIHOST.exe
The following registry entry is changed to run SSCVIHOST.exe on startup:

W32/Sohana-AO creates a scheduled task to run blastclnnn.exe at 09.00 every day.
