W32/Rbot-GKR is a worm with IRC backdoor functionality for the Windows platform.
W32/Rbot-GKR spreads to other network computers by exploiting common buffer overflow vulnerabilities, including Symantec (SYM06-010).
W32/Rbot-GKR runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer via IRC channels.
When first run W32/Rbot-GKR copies itself to <Common Files>\system\reghost32.exe.
The file reghost32.exe is registered as a new system driver service named "reghost32", with a display name of "32-bit Registration Host" and a startup type of automatic, so that it is started automatically during system startup. Registry entries are created under:

FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List
