W32/Spybot-DT is an internet worm and IRC backdoor Trojan for the Windows platform.

W32/Spybot-DT spreads by copying itself to network shares protected by weak passwords. The worm also attempts to copy itself to the startup folder of attached network drives.

W32/Spybot-DT runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer via IRC channels.

W32/Spybot-DT includes functionality to steal confidential information and open a remote command shell.

When first run W32/Spybot-DT moves itself to <System>\BF3.exe.
