W32/Sdbot-WI is a network worm with backdoor Trojan functionality.

W32/Sdbot-WI may spread to remote network shares with weak passwords.

W32/Sdbot-WI connects to an IRC channel and runs in the background listening for backdoor commands. In particular, the worm may steal software registration keys or download and run further code.

W32/Sdbot-WI copies itself to the Windows system folder as JAVAMX.EXE and creates the following registry entries in order to run itself on system logon or startup:
