W32/Sdbot-AFM is a worm and IRC backdoor for the Windows platform.
W32/Sdbot-AFM may spread over network shares, instant messaging programmes, and via weak SQL passwords.
W32/Sdbot-AFM runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer via IRC channels.
W32/Sdbot-AFM includes functionality to access the internet and communicate with a remote server via HTTP.
When first run W32/Sdbot-AFM copies itself to <Windows folder>\csr.exe.
The file csr.exe is registered as a new system driver service named "csrss32", with a display name of "Client Server Runtime Service" and a startup type of automatic, so that it is started automatically during system startup.
