W32/Sdbot-AEF is a worm and IRC backdoor Trojan for the Windows platform.

W32/Sdbot-AEF spreads to other network computers infected with W32/MyDoom. W32/Sdbot-AEF also spreads to network shares with weak passwords.

W32/Sdbot-AEF runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer via IRC channels. The worm contains functionality to download, and access the internet via remote server.

When first run W32/Sdbot-AEF copies itself to <System>\msupdte32.exe.
