More Information
W32/Rbot-I is a worm which attempts to spread to remote network shares. It also contains backdoor Trojan functionality, allowing unauthorized remote access to the infected computer via IRC channels while running in the background as a service process.
W32/Rbot-I spreads to network shares with weak passwords as a result of the backdoor Trojan element receiving the appropriate command from a remote user.

W32/Rbot-I copies itself to the Windows system folder with a predetermined filename. At the time of writing, different samples of the worm have been seen to use the following filenames:
NAVMGRD.EXE
WUAMGRD.EXE
SVCPACK.EXE
MSCONFG.EXE
W32/Rbot-I creates entries in the registry at the following locations to run itself on system startup and sets them every 60 seconds that it is running:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
W32/Rbot-I sets the following registry entries every 120 seconds:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Ole\EnableDCOM = "N"
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\restrictanonymous = "1"
W32/Rbot-I also tries to delete network shares on the host computer including C$,D$ and ADMIN$ every 120 seconds.
