W32/Rbot-AMT is a networm worm and IRC backdoor Trojan.

W32/Rbot-AMT runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer via IRC channels.

W32/Rbot-AMT spreads to remote network shares protected by weak passwords, and to computer vulnerable to the following exploits: LSASS (MS04-011), RPC-DCOM (MS04-012), WKS (MS03-049) (CAN-2003-0812), Veritas (CAN-2004-1172), MSSQL (CAN-2002-0649), ASN.1 (MS04-007).

When first run W32/Rbot-AMT copies itself to <System>\tyack.pif.
