More Information
W32/Grum-A is a appending virus for the Windows platform.
When run the virus will copy itself to <Temp>\winlogon.exe and attempts to infect files that are referenced by Run keys.
W32/Grum-A will also create the following registry entry:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Firewall auto setup
<Temp>\winlogon.exe
The virus will also truncate the HOSTS file, inject a thread into system.dll and attempt to patch the system files ntdll.dll and kernel32.dll
