More Information

W32/Forbot-FR is a worm and backdoor Trojan for the Windows platform.

W32/Forbot-FR spreads to other network computers by exploiting common buffer
overflow vulnerabilites, including PNP (MS05-039).

W32/Forbot-FR runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server
which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer.

W32/Forbot-FR allows the remote user to set up a proxy server, start a HTTP
server on a user specified port, collect system information, add or delete
shares and users, kill processes, download and execute files, send email,
remotely control a connected web cam, sniff network traffic or launch a
denial-of-service attack against a user specified target.

When first run W32/Forbot-FR copies itself to <System>\playboy.exe.

The following registry entries are created to run playboy.exe on startup:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
