W32/AutoRun-GC is a worm for the Windows platform.
W32/AutoRun-GC includes functionality to access the internet and communicate with a remote server via HTTP.
When first run W32/AutoRun-GC copies itself to:
<Windows>\regsvr.exe
<System>\regsvr.exe
<System>\winhelp.exe
and creates the following files:
<System>\ijl11pro.dll
<System>\setting.ini
<System>\setup.ini
<Windows>\winhelp.ini
W32/AutoRun-GC may install new versions of the following files:
<System>\comctl32.ocx
<System>\msinet.ocx
The following registry entry is created to run regsvr.exe on startup:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Yahoo Messengger
