More Information
Troj/StartPa-HR is a Trojan for the Windows platform.
Troj/StartPa-HR includes functionality to access the internet and communicate with a remote server via HTTP.
When first run Troj/StartPa-HR copies itself to:
<Windows>\n0tepad.exe
<System>\n0tepad.exe
<System>\ywwvc.exe
and creates the file <System>\windll.dll. Windll.dll is a harmless data file.
The following registry entry is created to run ywwvc.exe on startup:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
ywwvc.exe
<System>\ywwvc.exe
The following registry entry is set or modified, so that n0tepad.exe is run when files with extensions of TXT are opened/launched:
HKCR\txtfile\shell\open\command

Troj/StartPa-HR changes the Start Page for Microsoft Internet Explorer by setting the registry entry:
