Troj/Singu-B is a password stealing Trojan for the Windows platform.
Troj/Singu-B includes functionality to access the internet and communicate with a remote server via HTTP.
When first run Troj/Singu-B copies itself to <Windows>\svchost.exe and creates the following files:
<Temp>\sarbw.dll - detected as Troj/Singu-B
<Windows>\svchost.cfg - this file may be deleted
The file <Windows>\svchost.exe is registered as a new system driver service named "svchost", with a display name of "svchost" and a startup type of automatic, so that it is started automatically during system startup. Registry entries are created under:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\svchost\
The following registry entries are set, affecting internet security:
