Troj/Ranck-X is a proxy Trojan that allows a remote intruder to route HTTP traffic through the computer.
Troj/Ranck-X sets an entry in the registry at the following location so as to run itself on system startup:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\ValidData
Troj/Ranck-X sends information that the infected computer is running it to a number of websites, downloading a file to C:\WINNT\DOK at the same time.
