More Information
Troj/Proxy-BS is a backdoor Trojan which allows a remote intruder to gain access
to the infected computer.
Troj/Proxy-BS includes functionality to access the internet and communicate with
a remote server via HTTP.
When first run Troj/Proxy-BS copies itself to <System>\win32update.exe.
The following registry entry is created to run win32update.exe on startup:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Win32 Kernel Update
<System>\win32update.exe
The Trojan listens on a random port for connections from remote attackers. The
Trojan then allows remote intruders the ability to route HTTP traffic
anonymously through the infected computer.
