More Information

Troj/Mosqit-A is a Trojan written specifically to work on the Symbian operating system running on a Nokia Series 60 compatible device. The Trojan originates from a number of websites and peer-to-peer networks.

Troj/Mosqit-A purports to be a cracked version of Mosquitos game. The Trojan is packaged in a Symbian installation file "Mosquitos Cracked by Soddom V2.0.sis" but it may be any other file name.

When the package is installed on the device the operating system displays several warnings about the possible dangers of installing the uncertified applications.

The application file contains the text "This version has been cracked by SODDOM BIN LOADER No rights reserved. Pirate copies are illegal and offenders will have lotz of phun!!!".

Text inside the Troj/Mosqit-A Trojan horse

When the Trojan purporting to be a game is launched Troj/Mosqit-A attempts to send SMS messages using premium rate SMS numbers.
