Troj/Mailspam-O is a spam generating Trojan for the Windows platform.
Troj/Mailspam-O includes functionality to access the internet and communicate with a remote server via HTTP.
When Troj/Mailspam-O is installed the following files are created:
<Temp>\_check32.bat - clean, can be deleted
<Windows>\s32.txt - clean, can be deleted
<System>\aspimgr.exe - also detected as Troj/Mailspam-O
<Windows>\ws386.ini - clean, can be deleted
The file aspimgr.exe is registered as a new system driver service named "aspimgr", with a display name of "Microsoft ASPI Manager" and a startup type of automatic, so that it is started automatically during system startup. Registry entries are created under:
