More Information

Troj/Iyus-G is a password-stealing Trojan. Troj/Iyus-G copies itself either to a subfolder of the Windows system folder called ZZTP or to a subfolder of the folder given in the registry entry

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders\AppData

called Micrsoft\ZZTP, copying itself as svchost.exe. Troj/Iyus-G then sets the following registry entry so as to run itself on system startup:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\
zztp
<Path to Trojan folder>\svchost.exe

Troj/Iyus-G drops files named _KWUI.DLL and _KWUIEX.DLL in the same folder as itself. The DLLs monitor user activity, logging keystrokes and data transfer in files named _keys.log and _post.log.

Troj/Iyus-G runs in the background as a service process and periodically collates the gathered information then sends it to a remote location by FTP. Troj/Iyus-G may create an empty file in the Windows system folder called XTEMPX.XXX.
