Troj/Haxdoor-HM is a Trojan for the Windows platform.
Troj/Haxdoor-HM runs continuously in the background, providing a backdoor server which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer.
Troj/Haxdoor-HM includes functionality to:
- stealth its files, processes, registry entries and services
- prevent itself being terminated
- prevent itself being deleted
- disable other software, including anti-virus, firewall and security related applications
Sophos's anti-virus products include Genotype™ detection technology, which can proactively protect against new threats without requiring an update. Sophos customers have been protected against components of the Troj/Haxdoor-HM (detected as Troj/Haxdor-Gen and Troj/Haxdor-Fam) since version 4.00. Troj/Haxdoor-HM is a Trojan for the Windows platform.
