Troj/GrayBir-AJ is a backdoor Trojan which allows a remote intruder to gain access and control over the computer.

When first run Troj/GrayBir-AJ copies itself to <System>\VPort1.1.exe.

The file VPort1.1.exe is registered as a new system driver service named "VPort2005_Lan", with a display name of "VPort2005_In_Lan" and a startup type of automatic, so that it is started automatically during system startup. Registry entries are created under:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VPort2005_Lan\

The following registry entry may also be created to run VPort1.1.exe on startup:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
VPort1.1
<System>\VPort1.1.exe
