Troj/Feutel-D is a backdoor Trojan for the Windows platform.

Troj/Feutel-D copies itself to the Windows folder with the name SVCHOST.

The Trojan may create the following registry entry in order to be run automatically on startup:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
SCVHOST
<Windows folder>\SCVHOST

The Trojan may install itself as a service with the following characteristics:

servicename = SCVHOST
displayname = "SCVHOST"
imagepath = <Windows folder>\SCVHOST

Troj/Feutel-D creates the following DLL files in the Windows folder, each detected as Troj/Feutel-D:

SCV.DLL
SCV_Hook.DLL

The Trojan injects code into the Internet Explorer process in order to prevent itself from being terminated.

The Trojan downloads a configuration file from a preconfigured URL.
