When first run,Troj/FakeVir-CC copies itself to
<Program Files>\Antivirus2008y\antvrs.exe
Troj/FakeVir-CC also creates
<Adeministrator>\Start Menu\Antivirus2008y\Antivirus 2008.lnk
<Adeministrator>\Start Menu\Antivirus2008y\Uninstall Antivirus 2008.lnk
Troj/FakeVir-CC scans the computer and reports clean files as being infected with malware.
Troj/FakeVir-CC has the functionalities to:
-download files from preconfigured URLs.
-open links to websites
-log key
-steal information from clipboard
-upload to preconfigured URLs
-be a proxy.
The following registry entry is created to run <Program Files>\Antivirus2008y\antvrs.exe on startup:
