Troj/Dropper-BR is a Trojan for the Windows platform.

Troj/Dropper-BR includes functionality to access the internet and communicate with a remote server via HTTP.

When first run Troj/Dropper-BR copies itself to \myserver.exe and creates the following files:

<Temporary Internet Files>\Content.IE5\od6fwfox\bc1[1].htm (harmless and may be safely deleted)
<Current Folder>\clear.bat (harmless and may be safely deleted)
<Root>\sdiow.dat (detected as Troj/Dropper-BR)

The file myserver.exe is registered as a new system driver service named "myserver", with a display name of "<special characters>" and a startup type of automatic, so that it is started automatically during system startup. Registry entries are created under:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\myserver\

Troj/Dropper-BR changes settings for Microsoft Internet Explorer by modifying values under:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\
