When first run Troj/Delf-KS copies itself to:

<Windows>\services.exe
<System>\msapplg.exe

The following registry entry is created to run msapplg.exe on startup:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\(44AE4113-C121-10CC-1F32-A0BC12E2014D)

Troj/Delf-KS downloads a file from a preconfigured URL to the local disk. At the time of writing, this file was unavailable.

The Trojan displays the following fake error message:

The instruction at "0x70d4431e" referenced memory at "0x11fd0200". The memory
could not be "written".
